On December 9 and 10, 2024, the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble will host the symposium The Project as a Field for Contributive Research. This event is part of a longstanding reflection on the dual status of design disciplines, oscillating between science and professional practice.
The symposium will explore the multidisciplinary, multi-professional, and localized dimensions of research in design disciplines while fostering discussions on the relationships between practice, pedagogy, and research.
On this occasion, Aurélie Mosse and Jean-François Bassereau, members of the Soft Matters group, will share their experience of using projects as a field for doctoral research, in dialogue with Patrick Moquay from ENSP Versailles
