La trajectoire singulière d’une feuille d’un épi de maïs (The singular trajectory of a corn leaf) is a ten-minute film about the Totomoxtle project: a process of creating objects from the production of corn leaves, designed by Mexican designer Fernando Laposse. The result of an ethnographic survey, this film – a cross between animation and documentary – is the fruit of collaboration between an anthropologist, a director and a graphic designer. By mobilizing the tools of documentary cinema and those of animated film, we devised a form of narration that would enable the various human and non-human players in this project to tell the story of what is being woven around Totomoxtle.
