Le 17 décembre 2024, de 19h00 à 20h15, le Mudam – Musée d’Art Contemporain du Luxembourg accueillera une conférence animée par Samuel Bianchini. Intitulée « Créer avec des IA – Potentiel et limites de l’élaboration d’œuvres d’art avec les technologies de l’intelligence artificielle », cette rencontre, organisée par l’Institut français du Luxembourg, invite à une réflexion sur le rôle de l’intelligence artificielle (IA) dans la création artistique.
L’IA et ses multiples facettes
Aujourd’hui omniprésentes, les technologies d’IA façonnent bien des aspects de nos vies : travail, loisirs, recherche, économie, éducation, transports, médias ou encore relations sociales. Leur essor repose principalement sur des algorithmes puissants et des quantités massives de données. Mais comment ces avancées influencent-elles l’art ?
Les IA génératives, capables de produire textes, sons et images, suscitent autant d’enthousiasme que d’interrogations. Peuvent-elles contribuer à l’élaboration d’œuvres authentiques et singulières, ou risquent-elles de réduire l’art à des productions médiatiques standardisées ? Comment maintenir le lien avec la matérialité du monde et intégrer ces technologies dans une démarche écologique et évolutive ?
Un dialogue entre art et technologie
En s’appuyant sur des exemples concrets issus de sa pratique, Samuel Bianchini explorera les possibilités et limites de la création artistique avec les IA. À travers une approche fondée sur la recherche artistique, il questionnera notre capacité à transformer ces outils technologiques en moteurs d’expériences esthétiques inédites.
La conférence se conclura par un échange avec le public, offrant l’opportunité d’approfondir les réflexions engagées.

Titled "Creating with AI – Potential and Limits of Crafting Artwork with Artificial Intelligence Technologies", this event, organized by the French Institute of Luxembourg, invites reflection on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in artistic creation.
AI and Its Multiple Facets
Today, AI technologies are omnipresent and shape many aspects of our lives: work, leisure, research, economy, education, transportation, media, and even social relationships. Their rise is mainly driven by powerful algorithms and massive amounts of data. But how do these advancements influence art?
Generative AIs, capable of producing texts, sounds, and images, spark as much excitement as questions. Can they contribute to the creation of authentic and unique works, or do they risk reducing art to standardized media productions? How can we maintain a connection with the materiality of the world and integrate these technologies into an ecological and evolving approach?
A Dialogue Between Art and Technology
Drawing on concrete examples from his own practice, Samuel Bianchini will explore the possibilities and limits of artistic creation with AI. Through an artistic research-based approach, he will question our ability to transform these technological tools into engines for new and unique aesthetic experiences.
The lecture will conclude with a discussion with the audience, providing an opportunity to delve deeper into the ideas presented.
